Skills and Competencies

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in communications, public relations, and/or journalism, ideally within an agency environment or multinational corporation
• Experience in financial services, regulated industries, technology, or related sectors preferred & exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling narratives for diverse audiences
• Strong media relations experience with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across the APAC region
• Excellent presentation skills and impactful on-screen presence with the ability to advise and influence senior business partners
• Highly organized with strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
• English proficiency is essential; business fluency in another Asian language such as Korean is an advantage

Education

• Undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives that strengthen Moody's brand, reputation, and thought leadership across the APAC region. Partner with internal business groups to develop and deliver external and internal communications strategies that support business objectives
• Create and execute media outreach plans, key messages, question and answer documents, spokesperson materials, and other communications content. Also build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media organizations to enhance Moody's visibility and thought leadership
• Proactively identify and secure opportunities for media interviews, earned speaking engagements, commentary placements, and thought leadership coverage
• Respond to media inquiries promptly and effectively while ensuring accurate and consistent representation of Moody's perspectives
• Collaborate with marketing, branding, public relations, investor relations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure aligned messaging and communications activities
• Support in-market and regional employee communications and engagement, including storytelling, intranet content, inclusion initiatives, employee campaigns, and leadership communications
• Provide occasional weekend and out-of-hours support for media relations activities, including monitoring shared communications channels and responding to urgent inquiries

The External Global Communications team within Global Corporate Affairs is responsible for strengthening Moody’s reputation, positioning the company as a leading provider of risk insights. The team partners closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to elevate thought leadership, support strategic business priorities, and enhance external and internal stakeholder engagement across global markets.
