- Demonstrated working knowledge of capital markets, the credit ratings process, and strong analytical skills
- Deep expertise in the Private Credit sector, including fund finance, direct lending, and strategic alternative asset management initiatives
- Ability to effectively and confidently chair multiple meetings daily with customers and intermediaries across diverse profiles, often on short notice or with minimal preparation
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate persuasively in front of senior management, customers, and large audiences
- Proven ability to independently build, manage, and maintain senior-level customer and intermediary relationships with minimal oversight
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- High degree of autonomy and accountability in achieving and exceeding business objectives
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency, including awareness of responsible AI practices such as risk management and ethical use
- 10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated success in Private Credit and Business Development roles
- Minimum undergraduate or first-level degree (or equivalent), preferably in finance, accounting, business, or economics
This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for driving strategic business development and relationship management within the Private Credit sector across APAC, reporting directly to the Managing Director, Global Head of Private Credit – Relationship Management.
- Lead business development efforts for the Private Credit sector and provide strategic leadership for related commercial initiatives
- Drive strategic initiatives by leveraging AI-powered credit analytics and market intelligence tools to identify high-value opportunities and support data-driven decision-making
- Execute a proactive customer outreach program, conducting in-person and virtual meetings with prioritized customers, bankers, and intermediaries to promote Moody’s Ratings products and capabilities and secure new mandates
- Develop a deep understanding of Moody’s full product suite and effectively market solutions to external stakeholders while educating and mentoring junior colleagues
- Lead extensive discussions with mid- to senior-level issuers, intermediaries, and prospective customers to explain Moody’s ratings processes and methodologies
- Represent Moody’s at internal and external conferences, industry briefings, and events to strengthen market presence and expand professional networks
- Monitor market trends, client activity, and peer developments to identify and assess new business opportunities
- Lead negotiations on standard and complex commercial terms and conditions with customers
- Partner with Account Management leadership to assess pricing impacts and propose new pricing strategies
- Ensure internal customer databases and records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal partners across Account Management, analytical teams, marketing, events, billing, and pricing to improve workflows and market outreach
- Act as a senior leader within the Business Development organization, contributing to broader commercial strategy and execution
The Private Credit Relationship Management team at Moody’s is responsible for building and sustaining strong partnerships with market participants across the alternative credit landscape. The team works closely with analytical, product, and account management colleagues to deliver differentiated insights and solutions to clients. It operates in a highly collaborative, market-facing environment, playing a critical role in strengthening Moody’s position as a trusted leader in the global Private Credit ecosystem.
