Skills and Competencies

  • Professional experience in sales, sales operations and/or customer success roles
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and organise high-velocity competing workflows
  • Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail
  • Fluency in English and French is required
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) required, preferably with coursework in business, economics, finance, marketing or related fields

Responsibilities

This sales role as an Assistant Director Account Manager focuses on managing and growing MA’s business within an assigned territory of existing clients.  The role’s primary responsibilities are to manage sales cycles, expand client engagement, and optimise renewals while minimising attrition.  The role requires the assessment of client needs, providing clients with guidance and solutions overviews, and effective collaboration with sales colleagues and internal stakeholders. Other responsibilities include: 

  • Meeting and exceeding annual sales goals and targets
  • Managing a client portfolio and building relationships with key stakeholders across multiple levels, including procurement, accounts payable, legal, and primary contacts
  • Driving growth through renewal pricing, expanded scope of services, upsell opportunities, and managing all commercial aspects of renewals, including negotiations, proposals, and agreement execution
  • Collaborating with Domain Sales Specialists, Relationship Managers, and other teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, develop use-cases, and present new products/services to clients
  • Working with Customer Success, Sales Operations, and Product Management to ensure seamless client lifecycle support, product implementation, and adoption, while improving account health
  • Reviewing contracts to ensure compliance, mitigating potential roadblocks early, and developing best practices for on-time renewal and contract execution
  • This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working
