At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional projects with changing requirements, competing priorities, and distributed ownership
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to create alignment, establish accountability, and escalate constructively when decisions or resources are needed
  • Strong client orientation and sound judgement in sensitive or high-visibility situations, with the ability to protect client trust while maintaining delivery momentum
  • Ability to understand complex data, product, and technical topics quickly and translate them into clear business impact, decisions, and action plans
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing executive-ready updates, client communications, root-cause analyses, presentations, scripts, and concise meeting materials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to distinguish symptoms from root causes, identify dependencies and control gaps, and propose practical short- and long-term responses
  • Experience building and maintaining project plans, dashboards, risk and decision logs, and portfolio-level reporting, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and SharePoint; experience with customer relationship management or case-management tools is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, project management, communications, information management, data management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in project or program management, consulting, data operations, data governance, customer solutions, or a related role in a complex global environment
  • Experience supporting strategic clients, executive stakeholders, regulated industries, financial services, or data and analytics products is preferred
  • Professional project-management or agile credentials such as Project Management Professional or equivalent are advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, high-priority client data initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams to accelerate resolution and deliver clear client outcomes.
  • Own a portfolio of strategic-client initiatives from intake through closure, defining the problem, business impact, scope, outcomes, milestones, dependencies, owners, and closure criteria
  • Lead discovery and requirements gathering across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Data Governance, and other subject-matter experts, translating evolving needs into structured delivery plans
  • Establish and maintain fit-for-purpose project governance, including project charters, work breakdown structures, delivery plans, risk and decision logs, status dashboards, structured updates, and closure reports
  • Drive root-cause analysis and resolution planning for complex data issues, identifying dependencies, control gaps, and practical short- and long-term responses
  • Orchestrate delivery across distributed teams by clarifying accountability, securing commitments, constructively challenging missed milestones, escalating decisions early, and maintaining momentum through ambiguity
  • Translate technical, operational, and data-quality findings into concise, audience-appropriate communications, including client updates, root-cause analyses, executive briefs, presentations, scripts, meeting agendas, and talking points
  • Provide proactive weekly reporting focused on progress, measurable outcomes, current milestones, key risks, changing requirements, decisions needed, and immediate execution priorities
  • Identify recurring client themes and translate them into actionable evidence for broader Data Estate priorities, sustainable controls, product or platform enhancements, data-acquisition needs, and investment decisions while protecting client trust through accurate, constructive, and solution-oriented communication
