Skills and Competencies

  • 1-2 years of experience understanding of QA principles and testing methodologies, including functional, regression, acceptance, performance, and exploratory testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile QA practices and collaboration with developers, QA engineers, and product owners.
  • Ability to execute manual test cases, document results, and support defect identification and resolution.
  • Basic database/querying knowledge preferred for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Awareness of AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) and AI/ML concepts relevant to software testing.
  • Strong analytical skills to review test outcomes, including AI-generated outputs, for accuracy and quality.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software verification activities within an Agile team environment.
  • Execute manuals, ad hoc, and exploratory testing to validate functionality and identify defects.
  • Maintain and execute automated test scripts to support continuous and regression testing.
  • Document test results and collaborate with developers and product owners to resolve issues.
  • Reproduce, analyze, and assist with root cause investigation of application and client-reported defects.
  • Follow QA best practices and contribute to improvements in testing, processes, and documentation.

About the Team

The Ratings Technology Quality Assurance Engineering team supports software quality across Moody’s Ratings Technology applications. The team ensures release quality through functional, regression, and automation testing while partnering closely with product and engineering teams. By joining the team, candidates will contribute to reliable technology delivery, continuous improvement, and responsible adoption of AI-assisted testing practices.
