Skills and Competencies
- 2–3 years' experience in event management, event operations, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience supporting the planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality attendee experiences.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across regional teams and external partners.
- Experience coordinating vendors, venues, suppliers, and event logistics. Knowledge of budgeting, purchase orders, contracting processes, and expense tracking.
- Experience using event technology platforms, registration systems, CRM tools, and collaboration software (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Zoom Events, Asana, Microsoft Teams), with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment,
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence tools and automation technologies, with an interest in applying them to improve event planning, reporting, communications, and workflow efficiency.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
The Events Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Moody's events across APAC and the Middle East. This role is focused on operational excellence, ensuring events are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and consistently while providing a seamless experience for attendees, speakers, sponsors, and stakeholders. The role works closely with Event Managers, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external partners to execute a broad portfolio of events including conferences, executive roundtables, webinars, client programs, and third-party sponsorships.
Event Planning & Delivery
- Support end-to-end delivery of events, including planning, logistics coordination, registration, attendee management, venue liaison, speaker support, and on-site execution.
- Coordinate event timelines, project plans, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
- Assist with venue sourcing, catering, audiovisual requirements, production coordination, travel arrangements, and event materials.
- Support pre-event, on-site, and post-event activities including event setup, attendee management, and event close-out.
- Ensure a high standard of attendee experience and operational excellence across all events.
Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
- Manage day-to-day communications with vendors, venues, suppliers, and third-party event partners.
- Support contracting processes, documentation, and procurement activities in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with sourcing and procurement of event materials, branded merchandise, and corporate gifts.
Event Operations & Compliance
- Support delivery of events in accordance with procurement, legal, finance, compliance, and risk management requirements.
- Follow established event processes, templates, and operating procedures to maintain consistency and governance across the region.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of event workflows, documentation, and operating standards.
- Assist in determining event support requirements and escalation of operational risks where appropriate.
Budget & Reporting Support
- Track event expenses and support budget management to ensure programs remain within approved budgets.
- Process purchase requests, invoices, and financial documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain event trackers, reporting dashboards, and operational records to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
- Support post-event reporting by gathering attendance, engagement, satisfaction, and operational performance metrics.
Event Technology & Process Improvement
- Maintain and update event management systems, registration platforms, and related tools.
- Support the adoption of workflow management tools and standardized event processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, repeatability, and scalability across event operations.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools where appropriate to support project coordination, attendee communications, reporting, content drafting, and administrative tasks.

We partner closely with business, marketing, and sales teams to create events that strengthen client relationships, elevate the Moody's brand, and support commercial objectives.
