Skills and Competencies
- Entry level to 2 years of relevant work experience or internship experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to complete routine processes without error
- Ability to accurately review financial statements and various documents
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex business concepts to a senior audience
- Highly organized and efficient with a strong client-focused orientation and the drive and enthusiasm required to achieve results and ensure customer satisfaction
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field)
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative work related to a subset of deals, including new deal set-up, data capture, lifecycle data maintenance, data quality assurance, and tracking support to rating analysts within the designated Line of Business.
- Monitors designated mailboxes to ensure timely and effective handling of internal and external client requests
- Organizes work to meet deadlines and time-sensitive requests and projects
- Facilitates resolution to technical issues and more complex external inquiries with supervision by Senior and other Operations Specialists, Team Leaders, and Managers
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients by delivering high-quality service across a large volume of transactions, responding promptly and professionally to client needs
- Identifies, researches, and resolves data discrepancies and client inquiries, escalating issues as needed and following up with analysts for clarification
- Works closely with Rating Teams and other Moody's departments, such as Commercial and IT, to ensure effective communication and seamless workflow
- Provides backup support for colleagues during absences, demonstrates flexibility with shifting deadlines, and consistently contributes to team goals, even when under pressure
- Continues to develop knowledge of financial instruments, business practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this understanding to daily operations and actively seeking clarification when needed
About the Team
The Credit Estimate Operations team is part of Moody's Ratings Support organization, dedicated to enabling the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the credit rating process. The team provides essential operational support to rating analysts across designated Lines of Business, managing deal administration, data quality, and client communications with precision and care. By joining our team, you will contribute to meaningful work that underpins Moody's analytical excellence, while collaborating with colleagues across Commercial, IT, and Ratings teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that embraces innovation and the evolving use of AI-enabled tools.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $56,200.00 - $81,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
