Skills and Competencies

  • 3+ years of customer service experience, with Human Resources experience

  • Experience with immigration programs and administration, particularly Visa/Work Permit filings

  • Knowledge or experience in international assignment taxation, including year-end tax reconciliations, is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a key contributor within cross-functional teams

  • Strong ability to multitask, navigate ambiguity, manage change, and remain proactive in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to collaborate with and learn from individuals across different countries, cultures, and disciplines, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities 

The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for managing assignments, immigration and relocations for their region. This role will act as the main point-of-contact for assignees, the People team, and business leaders and support the end-to-end service delivery of mobility services.

  • Administer domestic and international assignment programs and policies aligned with business objectives, contribute to assignment compensation development, prepare cost projections for business leaders, and assist with assignment allowance reviews.

  • Support the development of relocation packages for new and existing employees, prepare cost estimates, and draft relocation assistance offer letters along with other required assignment documentation.

  • Partner with immigration firms, employees, and the business to secure and maintain company-sponsored work visas, acting as an intermediary between Talent Acquisition and immigration counsel for assessments and guidance.

  • Oversee U.S. immigration compliance processes, including PERM recruitment (job postings and workforce screening per DOL requirements) and maintenance of Public Access Files, audit compliance, online records, and LCA notice tracking.

  • Coordinate with relocation vendors (mobility, tax, and immigration), internal payroll/finance teams, and external partners to oversee relocation logistics, year-end reporting, and tax equalization.

  • Audit vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance, coordinate payments, and liaise with finance teams to process estimated tax payments on behalf of assignees.

  • Contribute to team development through onboarding and training, monitor mobility policies for global legal and regulatory compliance, and partner with Global Mobility leadership to enhance programs, policies, and processes while advising employees on changes.

  • Maintain mobility operations by updating metrics and reports, tracking transfers, ensuring cases stay within policy parameters, escalating issues as needed, supporting continuous improvement of the Global Mobility function, and handling additional duties and special projects.

About the team

The Global Mobility team is responsible for the strategy and end-to-end service delivery of the company’s assignment, transfer, immigration and relocation programs globally.  This team is part of People Services & Solutions in the People organization.
