Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum 6-8 years of product management experience with a demonstrated ability to independently drive products or feature areas from discovery through launch and post-launch iteration
  • Proven experience owning products end-to-end, including discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, release planning, and ongoing optimization
  • Strong ability to create clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, including leveraging AI to enhance documentation quality and efficiency
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Data, Design, and business stakeholders while balancing competing priorities
  • Proficiency with agile product management methodologies and tools, including backlog management, sprint planning, and product lifecycle governance
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to define, measure, and interpret product performance metrics
  • Technical fluency to engage effectively in architecture, infrastructure, and integration discussions and evaluate trade-offs without requiring hands-on coding expertise
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Relevant Master's degree preferred depending on the business area and product domain

Responsibilities

Lead the product development lifecycle for a defined product area by translating business and technical needs into impactful product solutions.

  • Manage the product development lifecycle from discovery and requirements gathering through release and post-launch iteration with moderate guidance from senior product leadership
  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and backlog items based on business value, customer needs, effort estimates, and strategic objectives
  • Contribute to product strategy and translate strategic goals into actionable roadmaps, measurable outcomes, and execution plans
  • Develop and maintain product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation for engineering and stakeholder audiences
  • Define, monitor, and analyze product success metrics and usage data to inform prioritization decisions and continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives to support delivery excellence and team alignment
  • Conduct user research and solution validation through stakeholder engagement, interviews, surveys, usability testing, and experimentation techniques
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data, Design, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions while proactively communicating risks, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders

Our Product Management team is responsible for defining product vision, driving execution, and delivering solutions that create value for customers and the business. The team collaborates closely with Engineering, Data, Design, and business partners to solve complex problems, guide strategic priorities, and foster innovation. By joining our team, you will contribute to the development of data-driven products while helping advance the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies across our organization.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $103,800.00 - $150,600.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
