Skills and Competencies 

• 1+ years’ experience performing in an Accounting, Auditing or Billing environment required
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with the ability to analyze data, create reports, and manage spreadsheets effectively.
• Thinks critically and exercises sound judgment and is able to articulate their own views. Fully explores problems and/or opportunities and provides solutions proactively 
• Focuses on results with a sense of urgency. Proven ability to overcome obstacles and bring issues to closure 
• Completes work tasks efficiently and effectively, adjusts quickly to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change. Demonstrates resilience in the face of adversity 
• Ability to analyze invoicing information, identify discrepancies, and support accurate resolution in line with control requirements 
• Experience managing high-volume billing data with accuracy, consistency, and attention to SOX control standards 
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education  

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business discipline required 
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English required to support collaboration with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities 

• Supports accurate invoicing, accruals, controls, and process improvement for the global billing function. 
• Monitors invoice delivery to ensure timely and accurate processing while meeting SOX revenue control requirements 
• Builds subject matter expertise in billing concepts, products, fee agreements, pricing requirements, and business rules to support invoicing activities  
• Partners with internal stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and operations teams to deliver high-quality invoicing support to external customers  
• Develops a thorough understanding of rating products, fee schedules, and billing applications used to perform daily activities  
• Executes key and compensating control activities accurately and timely to maintain a secure control environment  
• Supports business-as-usual activities, process improvements, and ad hoc tasks with appropriate guidance and autonomy  
• Explores opportunities to use artificial intelligence tools to improve billing processes, increase efficiency, and support responsible adoption  
• Communicates progress, issues, and risks regularly to support team goals and timely resolution.

About the team 

The Customer Billing team is responsible for delivering high-quality invoicing and accrual support to external customers and providing key business partners with accurate data to support business decisions. The function directly impacts financial results, including revenue recognition, regulatory reporting, and financial reporting, while helping maintain a secure control environment. The team partners across Finance, Commercial, and operations teams and continues to explore responsible use of artificial intelligence tools to improve processes, strengthen efficiency, and support scalable service delivery.
