Skills and Competencies
- 1–4 years of post-qualification tax experience, preferably within a leading accounting firm, multinational corporation, Global Capability Center (GCC), or shared services environment. Also,experience with VAT/GST and WHT compliance across APAC countries such as Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, China, and Thailand is preferred
- Strong knowledge of indirect taxation, including VAT/GST, Withholding Tax (WHT), and related compliance requirements across APAC jurisdictions.Experience supporting tax audits, statutory filings, tax reconciliations, and regulatory reporting in a multinational or shared services environment.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to extract, analyze, and reconcile financial and tax data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Legal, Sales, Operations, and external advisors.
- Exposure to tax technology and reporting tools such as BlackLine, Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, Vertex, or similar solutions is preferred.
Education
- CA or CPA qualification required.
Responsibilities
- Support tax compliance activities across APAC countries, ensuring the accurate and timely filing of GST/VAT returns, WHT returns, and other statutory tax obligations.
- Assist in managing tax audits and regulatory reviews by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and collaborating with external consultants and tax authorities.
- Manage the timely processing, payment, and accounting of tax liabilities while maintaining accurate tax records.
- Provide tax guidance and practical advice to internal stakeholders, conducting research and analysis to identify tax risks, compliance requirements, and optimization opportunities. Also,Partner with Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure tax considerations are appropriately incorporated into business initiatives and decision-making.
- Support statutory and internal audit requirements by preparing tax-related documentation and maintaining compliance with organizational policies.Perform reconciliations between tax returns and accounting records, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Collaborate with ERP and technology teams to address tax-related system configurations, reporting requirements, and process enhancements within SAP and Vertex.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, standardization, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Contribute to broader Global Tax Department projects and strategic initiatives on an ad hoc basis.
Stay informed on evolving tax legislation and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance and delivery of accurate tax advice.

The Tax team supports Moody’s global operations by delivering high-quality tax compliance, reporting, advisory, and governance activities across multiple jurisdictions. The team partners closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and external advisors to manage tax obligations, mitigate risk, and support business growth. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to complex international tax matters across the APAC region while contributing to process innovation and operational excellence.
