Skills and Competencies
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in data operations, financial information, economic data, research, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate, complete, and timely data
- Ability to validate, enrich, and manage structured data by following established quality controls and processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve data-related issues
- Client-service orientation, with the ability to respond clearly and effectively to internal and external data requests
- Business fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in additional languages is preferred
- Ability to create clear documentation covering procedures, data definitions, collection methods, and frequently asked questions
Education
- An undergraduate or advanced degree with coursework in economics, finance, statistics, or a related field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve subscriber-facing databases while delivering accurate data and responsive client support
- Maintain historical databases and publish updates in a timely and accurate manner
- Validate, enrich, and document ownership and relationship data received from external information providers and manual research
- Perform data-quality controls and matching activities to improve the accuracy and completeness of database records
- Maintain information relating to shareholders, subsidiaries, beneficial owners, global ultimate owners, sole traders, funds, branches, foreign companies, vessels, and directors
- Respond to client requests and inquiries relating to data availability, definitions, and access
- Assist internal and external clients in accessing and understanding available data
- Identify and implement improvements to processes and procedures that increase the speed and accuracy of data updates
- Research additional economic or demographic indicators to expand the existing data offering
- Identify and assess new sources of data to strengthen database coverage
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including internal procedures, collection methods, definitions, and frequently asked questions
About the Team
The Data Solutions team manages, enriches, and validates ownership relationships within the company’s relationship database. The team works with ownership information received from external information providers and manual data collection, applying quality controls and matching processes to maintain accurate and reliable records
