Skills and Competencies
  • Passion and curiosity for learning and working with technologies such as Java, AngularJS, React, Python, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Claude, Codex, and Gemini
  • Foundational understanding of high-performance computing, large language models, artificial intelligence, and data engineering concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues and develop solutions with guidance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineers, product teams, and other cross-functional partners
  • Familiarity with coding in Visual Studio Code or a JetBrains integrated development environment is preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field
  • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029
  • Ability to work full-time during the complete internship program from June 7 through August 13, 2027
Responsibilities
Support software, data engineering, and artificial intelligence initiatives while building practical technical skills.
  • Support ongoing initiatives through data analysis, technical research, and project assignments that contribute to business outcomes
  • Participate in software and product configuration activities, including basic debugging, testing, and performance tuning under the guidance of experienced engineers
  • Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software development, data engineering, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate technical issues, document findings, and contribute to the resolution of defects
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, process notes, and project updates to support knowledge sharing
  • Participate in team meetings, technical discussions, learning sessions, code reviews, and other collaborative activities
About the Program
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events.  Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
