Skills and Competencies
  • Experience with TypeScript and Playwright, or a strong foundational understanding of programming and test automation concepts
  • Hands-on experience using AI CLI tools such as Codex and Claude Code for software development and testing
  • Working knowledge of prompt engineering, context engineering, and general AI concepts, with the ability to review, validate, and refine AI-generated code, test cases, and documentation
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, version control practices, and continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows
  • Understanding of UI, API, integration, and regression testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with configuring and using Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI development workflows
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks that drive quality, coverage, and efficiency across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests using TypeScript and Playwright across UI, API, integration, and regression testing
  • Apply prompt engineering and context engineering techniques when leveraging AI CLI tools such as Codex and Claude Code to improve automation productivity
  • Review, validate, and refine AI-generated code, test cases, and documentation to ensure accuracy and quality standards
  • Design reliable test cases, maintain test data, and build reusable automation assets and frameworks
  • Integrate and execute automated tests through GitHub Actions continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Review test results, maintain automation coverage, analyze test failures, and support root cause analysis and resolution of automation issues
  • Collaborate with developers, quality assurance engineers, and product owners to define test requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to automation standards, framework improvements, and overall product quality in an Agile environment
About the Team
Our Quality Engineering and Automation team is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing test automation practice that supports the reliability, scalability, and continuous delivery of Moody's technology products. The team works closely with engineering, product, and quality assurance functions to drive test coverage, reduce risk, and accelerate release cycles. By joining our team, you will be part of forward-looking work that embraces AI-powered development tools and modern automation frameworks to continuously raise the bar on software quality across Moody's.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $95,500.00 - $138,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
