At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies

  • 3–5 years of experience in strategy, customer analytics, or business intelligence, ideally within the banking industry
  • Strong, hands-on proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential; working knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx, or SQL is a strong plus
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce/ SFDC) for generating reports and building, maintaining, and monitoring dashboards
  • Comfortable handling large sets of sparse and multi-source data (quantitative and qualitative); translating raw data into forecasts, ARR/ retention analysis, and portfolio-level insight that supports business decisions
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking — able to identify patterns in data and draw sound business inferences, not simply produce reports
  • Curious and self-directed; picks up new tools, datasets, or business questions with minimal handholding. Quick learner
  • Comfortable adapting across strategy execution, analytics, and reporting priorities as team needs shift

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or postgraduate degree preferred but not required at this level

Responsibilities

  • Support Banking's Commercial Strategy team with pricing, customer, and portfolio analytics that inform deal-desk decisions and broader strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain customer and market analytics, deal-desk support models, and ARR/ retention dashboards for the Banking business
  • Develop forecasting models, segmentation analysis and portfolio-level analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Support execution monitoring and process governance cadences for key strategic initiatives, coordinating with senior strategists as needed
  • Maintain and evolve data models and automation/ AI-enabled workflows that improve the speed and accuracy of recurring analysis
  • Support ongoing initiatives such as the Banking Hub and OKR monitoring with foundational data and reporting
  • Translate analysis into clear, decision-ready recommendations for senior strategists — not just status updates
  • Adapt across strategy execution and analytics support as priorities shift across the team
