Skills and Competencies

  • Experience selling Compliance & 3rd Party data or experience selling software solutions leveraging this data
  • Familiarity with how data and software can support the following use cases within Corporates: Anti-Money Laundering/KYC, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Export Controls & Sanctions Screening, Know Your Supplier & Supplier Screening, Supplier Resiliency and Dependency, Sales & Marketing, Master Data Management
  • Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services
  • Validated ability of accurate pipeline management from initial lead to close
  • Skilled in establishing, developing, and maintaining key relationships within accounts, including senior executives, both internally and externally
  • Foundational understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English are required
  • This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working

Education

  • Undergraduate or first-level degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) required
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in sales roles within data, analytics, or financial services organisations

Responsibilities

This role focuses on driving the sales process for Moody’s Compliance and Supplier Risk solutions within the Corporate Sector, targeting accounts with $1bn+ revenue, primarily in the DACH region , as well as Europe & Africa. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing sales strategies to exceed annual targets aligned with company objectives
  • Managing end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to closure, in assigned territories
  • Collaborating with Solution Specialists to craft proposals and deliver tailored client demos
  • Positioning Moody’s as a trusted partner through strategic, client-specific guidance.
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities across Moody’s businesses and facilitating introductions
  • Sharing market insights internally and externally, while representing the organization publicly
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates to management
  • Leading growth initiatives, building business cases, and negotiating deals
  • Partnering with local sales teams to drive activity across the region
  • Delivering impactful presentations and product demos to prospects and clients
  • Engaging with executives to diagnose challenges and recommend solutions

This role sits within Moody’s Global Sales Group, a world-class commercial organisation focused on delivering value-driven solutions to its customers. The team supports a diverse client base spanning corporates, financial institutions, insurers, asset managers, government bodies, and professional services firms. Acting as the bridge between product teams and customers, the group combines deep domain expertise, collaboration, and innovation to deliver credit and financial risk data, models, and workflow solutions that address complex, real-world challenges.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is €54,800.00 - €79,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
