We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.
If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Responsibilities
The Solutions Specialist is an embedded technical and commercial resource within the FI sales team — not a back-office engineering function. This role exists to bridge the gap between complex client problems and Moody's product capabilities, translating institutional requirements into solution designs that are commercially viable and technically sound.
You will operate across the full breadth of Moody's Analytics offering, including lending technology, credit risk modelling, KYC/AML compliance, data and analytics platforms, and sustainability risk quantification. This is an executive-facing position. You will engage with C-suite and senior leadership team - articulating how Moody's integrated platform creates measurable business value. You must be as credible in a boardroom strategy discussion as you are in a technical deep dive with a client's engineering team.
The role requires someone who can co-own pipeline generation, qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, articulate return on investment, and contribute meaningfully to enterprise sales cycles with Australia's most significant financial institutions.
- Design and present end-to-end solution architectures that address client requirements across lending, credit risk, compliance, and data analytics — tailored to each institution's technology landscape and regulatory obligations
- Lead technical product demonstrations, proof-of-concept builds, and solution workshops for prospective and existing clients, ensuring alignment between Moody's capabilities and stated business outcomes
- Partner with relationship managers throughout the sales cycle to qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, and develop commercially compelling proposals and RFP responses
- Engage directly with senior stakeholders — including CTOs, CROs, Chief Data Officers, and heads of lending — to articulate Moody's value proposition with technical precision and commercial relevance
- Translate complex technical concepts — such as GenAI-powered credit memo generation, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and agentic workflow automation — into language that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Advise clients on integration architecture, including API connectivity, data ingestion patterns, and interoperability with core banking and enterprise data platforms
- Maintain current, working knowledge of Moody's product suite, including CreditLens (loan origination and covenant management), credit scoring and stress-testing models, KYC/AML orchestration tools, and climate risk analytics
- Contribute to market intelligence by feeding client insights, competitive positioning, and emerging technology trends back into the broader sales and product organization
- Support the development of pre-sales collateral, including technical briefs, solution diagrams, and demonstration environments that accelerate deal progression
About the Team
The Financial Institutions (FI) team in Australia and New Zealand operates as a consultative sales organization, covering the full spectrum of the banking sector. The team comprises high-performing relationship managers who combine deep product knowledge with a rigorous, data-driven approach to client engagement. Every member of the team is expected to understand how Moody's solutions map to institutional priorities — from credit origination and portfolio risk through to regulatory compliance and climate analytics.
