  • A player-coach mindset, with the ability to build models, work directly with data, and produce polished deliverables while leading a team and setting strategic direction
  • Deep expertise in consolidated P&L management, scenario planning, financial modeling, and cash-flow forecasting, plus incentive compensation and performance-funding mechanics
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels, with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to lead through complexity and competing priorities with strong independent judgment, attention to detail, and a bias toward automation
  • Demonstrated fluency with AI/GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude) applied to real finance workflows, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of EPM platforms (e.g., OneStream) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric) strongly preferred
  • Experience in a public, global, multi-segment organization; direct exposure to executive and Board reporting and earnings-related analysis; and a track record of leading finance transformation, systems implementation, or AI/automation initiatives preferred
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
Responsibilities
The VP, Corporate FP&A leads enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across Moody's.
  • Own end-to-end consolidation of the enterprise P&L across the annual operating plan, rolling forecast, and five-year strategic plan, ensuring coherence across all segments and functions
  • Build, review, and stress-test complex financial models, and direct scenario, sensitivity, and bridge analysis that gives leadership actionable insight into drivers, risks, and opportunities
  • Produce and elevate executive reporting — including monthly and quarterly financial reviews and quarterly Board decks — translating complex outcomes into concise, decision-ready narratives
  • Partner with Investor Relations on earnings preparation and the roadmap for evolving external reporting, including analysis on reported and organic basis
  • Oversee enterprise incentive compensation funding analysis, including performance-based calculations and scenario modeling across plan designs, and prepare Compensation and Human Resources Committee materials
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing, globally distributed FP&A team, driving capability building, workforce planning, and a culture of ownership
  • Advise segment and functional leaders on investment, resource-allocation, and margin-expansion decisions, and support mergers and acquisitions integration, restructuring programs, and topline growth initiatives
