Skills and Competencies
  • Extensive product management experience, typically 10+ years, within financial services, fintech, or risk management software environments
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing and developing product managers
  • Proven ability to lead multiple product squads, manage cross-team dependencies, and balance strategy with execution
  • Deep understanding of generative AI, large language models, and agentic AI products
  • Strong command of agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices driven by retrospectives and KPIs
  • Excellent market analysis, competitive intelligence, and client research capabilities to inform product direction
  • Data-driven and user-centric approach to product discovery and decision-making
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior and cross-functional partners
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, technology, data science, or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
This Director will play a critical leadership role within the GenAI product function, managing a group of 2–3 Product Managers and providing hands-on guidance across their respective squads. Working closely with the Director of GenAI Products, this role helps translate strategic direction into effective squad execution – ensuring teams are well-led, roadmaps are grounded in client and market insight, and delivery runs smoothly across the portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Product Managers to ensure strong execution and professional growth
  • Set and maintain a high quality bar for product management outputs, including user stories and requirements documentation
  • Partner with the Director of GenAI Products to contribute to and execute the GenAI product roadmap
  • Engage with strategy, business partners, and clients to validate priorities and surface new product opportunities
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Product Managers, resolving blockers and managing cross-squad dependencies
  • Establish a consistent operating rhythm across squads, including planning, prioritization, and retrospectives
  • Define, track, and use product KPIs to guide prioritization and continuous improvement
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across technology, design, operations, and strategy teams

The Digital Content & Innovation product organization at Moody’s Analytics delivers client-focused digital solutions that enable customers to assess risk and make informed decisions. The GenAI product team builds on Moody’s trusted data, research, and platforms to develop innovative AI-powered capabilities, including agentic solutions and APIs, empowering clients to access and act on Moody’s intelligence in new and impactful ways.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $171,100.00 - $248,050.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
