At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies
  • Ten or more years in product management, with a strong track record in technical, data-intensive, or platform products, including time in a product leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience taking an artificial intelligence or data-driven product from ambiguity through to production, rather than managing an established roadmap
  • Fluency writing technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and lightweight designs detailed enough for engineering to estimate and build against without further input
  • Strong platform and application programming interface sensibility, including how to build reusable services, consistent standards, and modern integration surfaces that other teams, clients, and their automated agents depend on
  • Proven ability to run several workstreams in parallel under shifting priorities, sequencing dependencies and keeping engineering unblocked
  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to produce crisp requirements, clear documents, and executive-ready updates
  • Insurance, reinsurance, or a related domain strongly preferred; candidates from adjacent regulated-data domains such as financial services, risk, or enterprise data will be considered
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, quantitative, or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is desired but not required
Responsibilities
Leads product workstreams combining artificial intelligence capabilities with the platform services and standards that make them enterprise-ready.
  • Owns product direction for multiple concurrent workstreams, translating strategy and roadmap into clear, sequenced, outcome-oriented plans
  • Writes engineering-ready specifications, acceptance criteria, and lightweight designs, working independently and with minimal supervision
  • Sequences dependencies across parallel tracks and clears blockers so engineering teams remain unblocked and delivering
  • Partners with engineering, design, and data science to shape artificial intelligence workflows, including large language model extraction, automated validation, confidence scoring, and data provenance
  • Defines how capabilities are surfaced to clients through public application programming interfaces, agent-facing integration interfaces, and application experiences
  • Works across internal platform, data, and interface teams so that what is built integrates cleanly and adheres to shared enterprise standards
  • Engages directly with clients, running and supporting demonstrations, synthesizing feedback, and shaping partnerships that validate the product against real-world complexity
  • Defines the tests, rules, and real-data quality checks that engineering builds against, and guards against scope creep and coverage gaps
About the Team
Our MCFL (Moody's Casualty and Financial Lines) team is responsible for building a suite of artificial intelligence-native products for the Casualty Insurance market, transforming messy, real-world data into decision-grade intelligence and exposing it through robust, consistent platform services that other teams and clients build on. This is a builder's role at the frontier of applied artificial intelligence. We are looking for a seasoned product leader to own significant parts of this, leading multiple workstreams that combine large language model-based extraction and agentic workflows with the platform foundations, application programming interfaces, MCP connectors, data services, and standards that make the output reliable, integrable, and enterprise-ready. You will have real scope from day one and a team to grow into.
