- Experience working with large, real-world datasets: cleaning, merging, exploring, and diagnosing data problems.
- Solid theoretical grounding in econometrics, statistics, machine learning, and other data analysis methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages and analytical applications (Python, R, etc.).
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects, manage deadlines, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across internal business lines.
- Experiencing using AI tools to accelerate, enhance efficiency and quality of quantitative projects; curiosity and openness to adopting new tools and methods.
- Education/experience in a relevant subject matter area such as finance and economics. Knowledge of credit risk, private credit, and structured finance a plus.
- Adaptable and curious; comfortable moving between projects and subject areas and learning new domains quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with relevant course work or experience in asset management, banking, or a related discipline.
- Assist in the enhancement and maintenance of existing quantitative modeling solutions Collaborate with research teams in other business units to develop new solutions, conduct research, and contribute to content generation (articles, blogs, white papers, etc.).
- Contribute to the development of new models and solutions for the asset management sector by leveraging Moody’s proprietary data, as well as external financial and economic data.
- Partner with the Asset Management Sales and Customer Success teams by delivering proof-of-concept projects, developing collateral, and acting as an internal knowledge resource.
- Must be able to work in person at Moody’s 7 World Trade Center offices on a schedule to be determined (at least once a week).
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $90,200.00 - $130,850.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
