Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in casualty lines, including general liability, workers' compensation and professional liability, and/or expertise in financial and credit lines insurance
• 10+ years in the insurance industry working with underwriters and underwriting teams
• Understanding of underwriting practices in the United States, Europe and Lloyd's
• Experience working with or developing risk analytics tools, portfolio management solutions or underwriting systems
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver innovative solutions from concept to market
• Business-driven with a passion for technology, an appetite for uncovering new revenue opportunities and the ability to develop strategies that increase the market presence of products
• Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills, with flexibility to travel globally and collaborate across time zones
• Strong understanding of GenAI capabilities and real-world applications in insurance or financial services

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, insurance, data science or a related field

Responsibilities

Lead the strategy and roadmap for Moody's casualty and financial lines underwriting solutions, from concept to launch and market adoption.

• Define and drive the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for casualty and financial lines insurance underwriting solutions, focused on innovation, scalability and commercial impact
• Lead strategic planning cycles and influence investment decisions, ensuring alignment with Moody's enterprise platform vision across data, analytics and digital capabilities
• Act as the product lead for the casualty insurance segment, representing Moody's in customer meetings, industry events and analyst briefings
• Meet regularly with underwriters, actuaries, claims leaders and executives at insurers and reinsurers to understand customer needs and translate them into product direction
• Identify opportunities to apply generative artificial intelligence across the product portfolio, such as natural language portfolio queries, streamlined exposure analysis and automated underwriting and claims insights, working with artificial intelligence, machine learning and engineering teams to prioritize and deliver these capabilities
• Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery, quality and alignment with market demand, and define and monitor key performance indicators to inform prioritization decisions
• Work with engineering, design, data science, modeling and operations teams to ensure technical feasibility, scalability and usability, incorporating advanced analytics into product workflows and influencing platform architecture and data strategy
• Partner with marketing, sales enablement, go-to-market and customer success teams to define messaging, create collateral, support strategic deals and drive product adoption and value realization

About the Team

Our team Insurance Solutions Team is responsible for helping insurers and reinsurers gain greater clarity on liability risk through advanced analytics, underwriting tools and portfolio management solutions. We help customers quantify emerging liability risks, respond to social inflation and integrate structured data and models into core workflows.
