At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.
If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.
- 5+ years of experience in the sanctions, anti-money laundering, fraud, investigations, export control and/or adjacent regulatory spaces, with deep working knowledge of the domain
- Strong technical literacy including the ability to read schemas, review queries, and discuss data modeling trade-offs with engineers
- Understanding of graph data modeling concepts including nodes, edges, properties, ontologies and taxonomies, RDF vs property graphs, and entity resolution
- Proven track record of translating ambiguous business problems into precise functional and non-functional engineering requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to align senior business sponsors, subject matter experts, and engineering leads around a shared plan
- Strong project management skills including agile/scrum, backlog hygiene, dependency tracking, and risk management
- Preferred: 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2+ years on data, platform, or AI/ML products
- Preferred: Familiarity with adjacent technologies such as vector databases, semantic search, large language model and retrieval-augmented generation architectures, data catalogs, and lineage tools
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency. Strong experience using AI tools to lead innovation initiatives. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, ensuring ethical governance, and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organization
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; backgrounds in international relations, political science, law, economics, area studies, or similar are as relevant to this role as technical degrees, and often more so
- Equivalent practical experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree
- Advance Moody's Risk Insights business to build solutions that address new and existing problems across the organization
- Lead the structured evaluation of Knowledge Graph technologies — defining evaluation criteria, running proofs of concept with engineering, documenting trade-offs, and driving build-vs-buy decisions
- Source, qualify, and prioritize Knowledge Graph use cases across product sub-teams, maintaining a transparent backlog with clear value hypotheses, success metrics, and prioritization rationale
- Translate ambiguous business problems into precise functional and non-functional requirements covering ontology scope, data sources, query patterns, latency and scale targets, access controls, and integration points
- Own the product roadmap for the Knowledge Graph platform, run agile ceremonies, and manage dependencies across data, platform, and application teams to keep delivery on track
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business sponsors, domain experts, data owners, and consuming product teams — communicating progress, trade-offs, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Define onboarding paths for new use cases, drive platform adoption, and feed learnings back into the roadmap to support continuous improvement
