Skills and Competencies
  • Familiarity with corporate law, contract law, and intellectual property laws
  • Strong legal research skills with the ability to articulate findings concisely
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to manage a high volume of contract-related tasks
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones within the Americas as required
  • Practical experience applying artificial intelligence and legal technology tools in a legal environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree with approximately 3–4 years of relevant in-house legal experience
Responsibilities
Support the drafting, negotiation, and management of legal agreements while partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient contract processes
  • Draft, prepare, review, and edit legal documents including NDAs, trials, amendments, license agreements, and demand letters under attorney supervision
  • Lead negotiations with clients and third parties to secure favorable contract terms and conditions
  • Serve as a single point of contact for processing and tracking legal documents while supporting deal attorneys
  • Communicate updates on contract status, modifications, deviations, and completion or termination of agreements
  • Advise business units on legal documentation and related processes
  • Coordinate correspondence with clients and internal stakeholders as directed
  • Prepare research-based reports using public sources and databases on entities and individuals
  • Analyze legal issues with a strong sense of ethics and integrity when handling confidential information and provide practical solutions aligned with business goals
About the Team
Our Commercial Transactions Legal team is responsible for supporting all commercial and sales transactions on behalf of MA Legal, ensuring efficient contract execution and risk management. By joining the team, you will contribute to high-impact legal work supporting business operations across the Americas while leveraging innovative tools and practices to enhance legal processes. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative environment based in Costa Rica, supporting complex transactions and driving operational excellence.
