Skills and Competencies

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience at a multinational company as a privacy manager, privacy or information security engineer, quality analyst, or similar role, with a focus on integrating privacy and security principles into the architecture of systems and products.  

  • Proven track record of analyzing risks and designing effective mitigation strategies, translating technical and legal concepts between different teams, and the ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.

  • Strong skills in Jira, Asana, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.

  • Knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, privacy principles, data anonymization, security engineering, and data governance principles. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively towards solutions, balancing legal and regulatory risks with business goals, in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use. 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, business administration, risk management, computer science, or at least 3 years’ experience working in a related field.

Responsabilities

Moody’s is looking for a Data Privacy Associate in the Privacy Team, with a focus on privacy engineering, to support its Global Privacy Program. The role will need to operate proactively to support day-to-day privacy operation matters globally. 

  • Conduct privacy risk assessments of new products and processes; analyse personal data flows and roles (i.e., as "data controller" or "data processor") and responsibilities of Moody's, its vendors and customers; identify privacy risks and potential mitigants. 

  • Advise product and infrastructure teams on privacy-by-design principles, privacy-enhancing technologies, solutions and mitigants for system design and implementation, such as data minimization, data anonymization, data masking, and consent management. 

  • Maintain global legal compliance documentation, including Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and personal data retention schedules.

  • Manage privacy compliance software tool OneTrust, used for maintaining and updating ROPAs.

  • Leverage technology to create efficiencies in Privacy Team workflows, for example, using Agentic AI to automate processes.

The team partners with stakeholders across the business to manage privacy risks, maintain compliance with global regulations, support innovative data and technology solutions, and enable responsible use of emerging technologies including GenAI and Agentic AI.
