Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, debt markets, and related business practices, with relevant professional or internship experience preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to execute high-volume, process-driven tasks accurately and consistently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships and communicate complex information clearly.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Also good in leveraging AI technologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovative solutions.
- Client-focused mindset with a strong commitment to delivering quality service, achieving results, and supporting business objectives.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline & Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, supported by a strong academic record.
Responsibilities
- Support global ratings processing activities by monitoring mailboxes, data feeds, and periodic reports to identify in-scope transactions and required actions. Review debt documents, pricing supplements, amendments, and related transaction materials to identify and extract rating-relevant information.
- Apply established criteria, procedures, and business rules to determine eligibility for rating assignment and identify cases requiring analyst review. Maintain and update data within Moody’s internal systems while performing data quality and integrity checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage internal and external client requests within established service level expectations, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Develop and apply a broad understanding of financial instruments, market terminology, and operational processes to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with team leaders and stakeholders to resolve technical issues, address complex inquiries, and improve operational effectiveness. Build strong working relationships with Rating Teams and cross-functional partners, including Commercial, Technology, and other business units.
- Demonstrate adaptability and accountability by effectively managing changing priorities, tight deadlines, and evolving business needs. Maintain awareness of relevant operational procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, ensuring compliance within assigned responsibilities.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and actively participating in process improvement initiatives.
About the Team
The Rating Desk Services (RDS) team plays a critical role in supporting the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of ratings-related operational processes across Moody’s. The team is responsible for conducting data reviews, documentation assessments, and process-driven evaluations based on established policies and procedures. While analytical decisions remain the responsibility of credit rating analysts, RDS partners closely with business stakeholders to enhance data quality, strengthen operational controls, and support the rating lifecycle. As part of RDS, you will work in a collaborative global environment focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
