Skills and Competencies
- 8+ years of experience building scalable backend platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.
- Strong expertise in Java and C#/.NET, including APIs, microservices, and modern software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, performance tuning, NoSQL databases, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and production-scale performance and reliability engineering.Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, influence architecture decisions, and mentor engineers across global teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a focus on delivering business outcomes.
Education - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities - Design and deliver scalable platform services, APIs, and foundational systems supporting Moody’s Insurance Solutions products.
- Lead architecture discussions and drive decisions that improve scalability, reliability, and platform modernization.
- Build secure, high-performing software solutions that meet evolving customer and business needs.
- Partner with engineering, product, and platform teams to deliver innovative technology solutions.
- Mentor engineers and champion best practices in software quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Drive operational excellence through monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, documentation, and continuous improvement.
About the Team
The Data Platform Engineering team builds the core data services, infrastructure, and tooling that power Moody’s Insurance Solutions products. Working closely with engineering and product teams, the group drives platform modernization and operational excellence while enabling the delivery of scalable, reliable, and innovative customer solutions.
