Skills and Competencies

• 5+ years of software engineering experience developing modern full-stack applications and platform services
• Strong expertise in Java, C#/.NET, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application architectures
• Hands-on experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js, as well as TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and modern frontend development frameworks
• Experience with relational databases, NoSQL technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of software design principles, scalability, performance engineering, testing, and operational excellence
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and deliver high-quality solutions in complex enterprise environments

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain both backend platform services and modern frontend user experiences
• Build scalable APIs and cloud-native systems supporting core platform capabilities
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into secure, high-performing applications
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and software quality initiatives
• Identify and resolve technical challenges while promoting best practices for maintainability and reliability
• Support innovation, modernization, and continuous platform improvement efforts across the organization

About the Team
The Intelligent Risk Platform team builds and operates highly scalable platform services used across Moody’s Insurance products. Team members work with modern technologies spanning cloud platforms, distributed systems, data engineering, and high-performance application development.
