Skills and Competencies
  • 3–5 years of professional UX/UI design experience, ideally focused on complex enterprise, B2B, or data-intensive platforms, with 1–3 years of front-end development experience
  • Advanced written and verbal English skills, enabling clear and effective communication across cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to design and build functional, coded prototypes with realistic data and interactions (preferably using Cursor), beyond static mockups
  • Experience automating design-to-code workflows using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Figma Dev Mode MCP, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), with strong proficiency in Figma for translating early ideation into production-quality prototypes
  • Expertise in translating complex workflows, datasets, and analytical tools into intuitive, highly usable product experiences
  • Strong skills in user research, usability testing, and iterative, data-driven design aligned with user feedback and business requirements, including delivery of GenAI-enabled features such as natural language queries, smart summaries, and embedded assistants
  • Confidence operating at the intersection of design and engineering, with strong knowledge of front-end technologies and component-based systems, and demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to evolve scalable, accessible design systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
As an Assc Director – Experience Designer, you will create intuitive, interactive experiences for insurance analytics products through coded prototypes and innovative data visualizations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver GenAI-powered, user-centric solutions.
  • Design and deliver functional, coded prototypes for insurance analytics products, bringing concepts to life in realistic and interactive environments
  • Lead end-to-end experience design from early concept through coded prototyping, testing, iteration, and final delivery
  • Translate complex insurance and risk data into intuitive dashboards, workflows, and data visualizations that drive insight and enable action
  • Design and prototype GenAI-powered features, including natural language queries, smart summaries, embedded assistants, and predictive UI patterns
  • Conduct user research and usability testing, continuously iterating designs based on real-world feedback and validation
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure prototypes meet user needs, technical feasibility, and performance requirements
  • Contribute to and evolve Moody’s design system, aligning coded components with engineering libraries and accessibility standards, while supporting engineering teams through reviews and feedback loops
  • Champion AI-assisted design-to-code processes and advocate for a prototype-first, AI-first approach to accelerate decision-making, enhance testing fidelity, reduce delivery risk, and ensure solutions are user-centric and business-aligned
About the Team
Within the Insurance Business Unit, the Product & Specialty group is reinventing the design function by moving beyond static deliverables to a functional, prototype-first approach. UX designers are empowered to deliver Vibe-coded, working prototypes that bring experiences to life early in the development cycle, accelerating decision-making, strengthening collaboration with engineering, and ensuring designs are tested and validated in realistic, interactive environments from day one.
