Skills and Competencies

  • 3–5 years of professional UX/UI design experience, ideally focused on complex enterprise, B2B, or data‑intensive platforms, with preferred 1–3 years of front-end development experienceAdvanced written and verbal English skills for clear communication across teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to design and build functional, coded prototypes (preferably using Cursor) with realistic data and interactions—not just static mockups
  • Experience automating design-to-code workflows using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Figma Dev Mode MCP, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and strong proficiency in Figma for early ideation translated into production-quality prototypes
  • Expertise in translating complex workflows, datasets, and analytical tools into intuitive, highly usable product experiences
  • Skilled in user research, usability testing, and iterative, data-driven design aligned with feedback and business requirements, including delivering GenAI-enabled features (e.g., natural language queries, smart summaries, embedded assistants)
  • Confident operating at the intersection of design and engineering with strong knowledge of front-end technologies and component-based systems, plus demonstrated leadership, communication, and ability to evolve scalable, accessible design systems while advocating design-led, prototype-first, AI-first approaches
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Director - Experience DesignerCreate intuitive, interactive experiences for insurance analytics products through coded prototypes and innovative data visualizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design GenAI-powered features and deliver user-centric solutions, while championing cutting-edge design practices that seamlessly connect design and development. 

  • Design and deliver functional, coded prototypes for insurance analytics products, bringing concepts to life in realistic, interactive environments
  • Lead end-to-end experience design—from early concept through coded prototyping, testing, and final delivery
  • Translate complex insurance and risk data into intuitive dashboards, workflows, and visualizations that drive insight and enable action
  • Design and prototype GenAI-powered features, including natural language queries, smart summaries, embedded assistants, and predictive UI patterns
  • Conduct user research and usability testing, continuously iterating designs based on real-world feedback and validation
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure prototypes meet requirements, technical feasibility, and performance goals
  • Contribute to and evolve the Moody’s design system, ensuring alignment between coded components, engineering libraries, and accessibility standards, while delivering responsive, production-ready prototype code and supporting engineering through reviews and feedback loops
  • Champion AI-assisted design-to-code processes and advocate for a prototype-first approach to accelerate decision-making, enhance user testing fidelity, reduce delivery risk, and ensure solutions are user-centric, business-aligned, and technically feasible

Within the Insurance Business Unit (BU), our Product & Specialty group is reinventing the design function. We’re moving beyond static design deliverables to a functional prototype-first approach—where UX designers don’t just create Figma files, but deliver Vibe-coded, working prototypes that bring experiences to life earlier in the development cycle. This approach accelerates decision-making, improves collaboration with engineering, and ensures our designs are tested and validated in realistic, interactive environments from day one
