Skills and Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of programming using JavaScript, PowerShell, TypeScript, Python, C#, or a similar language
  • Understanding of web technologies, including HTML and CSS
  • Interest in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and modern workplace technologies
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Strong willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and development practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, computer engineering, data science, information systems, or a related technical field
  • Completion of introductory coursework in programming, web development, databases, or software engineering
  • Graduation date of December 2027 – June 2029
  • Ability to work during program dates: June 7 – August 13, 2027

Responsibilities

Support the development, testing, documentation, and improvement of modern workplace technology solutions

  • Assist with developing and maintaining SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions under the guidance of experienced team members
  • Support the creation of web pages, forms, dashboards, and collaboration sites
  • Help develop and test applications using modern web technologies
  • Participate in troubleshooting technical issues and documenting proposed resolutions
  • Create and update technical documentation, user guides, and operating procedures
  • Learn and use workplace technology, automation, reporting, device management, and artificial intelligence tools
  • Collaborate with team members on automation, process improvement, project, and research activities
  • Participate in team meetings, Agile ceremonies, and knowledge-sharing sessions, and complete a summer project that includes presenting findings and outcomes to the team

About the Team

The Digital Workplace Services team within Technology Services Group, delivering excellent collaboration and end-user productivity technology to all users at Moody's. The team works across a variety of enterprise platforms, applications, and automation initiatives to help drive innovation, enhance user experiences, and improve the effectiveness of technology services across the organization. By joining the team, you will gain exposure to application development, automation, data-driven decision making, and emerging technologies, including the responsible use of artificial intelligence to improve processes and business outcomes.

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June – August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody’s business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.


For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly range for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
