Title: Senior Software Engineer

Duties: Develop enterprise software using agile practices with focus on built in quality. Analyze requirements, make architectural and design recommendations, code, document, and test. Contribute to creating next-level software solutions that improve the way our business is run. Work closely with multiple teams on solving complex engineering challenges and reviewing implementations in our collaborative team environment. Develop solutions that account for scalability and optimize performance. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and product owners to understand the problem statement using design thinking concepts. Improve quality, reliability, and performance of our core products and services. Use advanced DevOps practices to enable fast feedback loops using automation, containers, infrastructure as code, feature flags, deployment testing and automatic rollbacks. Mitigate technical debt on the software platform. Participate in peer code reviews and establish/follow development best practices. Lead, Mentor and coach junior developers to meet their full potential.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related technical field plus three (3) years of experience as a Developer, Engineer, Consultant, or related technical role with a focus on full-stack development, data engineering and end-to-end development. Must have experience with the following: Core Java, Multithreading concepts, design patterns, software development methodologies including Agile, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment for applications development; working with AWS, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, SQL/PLSQL, Unix, Shell, JavaScript, Python, Informatica, Control-M, SQL Developer, ERWIN Data Modeler, ER Studio, and automated testing tools; build tools including Maven; version control systems including GIT and BitBucket; and database and Big Data technologies including Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB, Hadoop, Hive, AWS, S3, and Aurora.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $133,536 to $169,000/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
