- 5+ years of successful enterprise software, analytics, data, software-as-a-service, or professional services sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets
- Demonstrated success in a pure new business development role with strong prospecting, pipeline generation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Experience selling solutions to banks, credit unions and non-bank financial institutions preferred
- Strong understanding of spreading financials, underwriting, risk management, regulatory environments, and digital transformation initiatives
- Proven ability to build executive-level relationships and influence decision-makers within large and complex banking organizations
- Experience managing complex consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and business functions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior executive audiences and present solution-oriented recommendations
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Master of Business Administration preferred
- Drive new logo acquisition and net-new revenue growth
- Develop and execute territory plans focused on identifying and penetrating targeted institutions
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospect identification and qualification through discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure
- Establish and cultivate relationships with senior executives, including Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Risk Officers, Chief Credit Officers, Chief Digital Officers and Heads of Risk
- Collaborate closely with industry specialists, product strategists and marketing teams to deliver comprehensive and solution-oriented client engagements
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments and competitive activity to identify new business opportunities and strengthen market penetration
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information while consistently meeting or exceeding annual revenue, pipeline generation and activity targets
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $98,800.00 - $143,350.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
