Skills and Competencies

  • Financial/statistical research capabilities
  • Strong academic background with good grasp of accounting and financial knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge SQL or Phyton
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Macros, PowerPoint is desirable
  • English speaking and writing capabilities are a plus
  • Schedule availability for 20 hours per week
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills in Spanish and English
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

  • Students matriculating through college, studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualification, in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Political Economy, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field
  • Ideally one year ahead of graduation

Responsibilities

Supporting Analytical teams as needed.  Examples of analytical work may include:

  • Preparing financial spreadsheets and charts, analyzing data and financial statements, building and updating financial models and forecasts
  • Support credit monitoring/surveillance of issuers by e.g. preparing data for surveillance, periodically updating preliminary components of analysis
  • Participate in case studies designed to further analytical understanding
  • Work on various analytical, research, data, and process related projects
  • Prepare materials for briefings and research reports
  • Gather and prepare financial information of the issuers rated by Moody's Local
  • Produce analytical summaries of quantitative information for analysts
  • Support the analytical team in different projects
