Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Requests, Beautiful Soup, Selenium, and Pandas, to support data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and data validation
• Knowledge of SQL and the ability to query and compare data is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Fluency in English with effective written and verbal communication is required
• Ability to complete a 3-month internship, with a possibility of extension, with availability to start as soon as possible

Responsibilities

Support the maintenance of Python-based solutions to extract, validate and load data from public financial regulatory resources.

• Develop and maintain Python crawlers to extract list of regulated entities from public authority websites
• Transform the extracted data to populate an Excel template
• Validate and apply data quality checks before loading it into the SQL database
• Use approved AI tools to accelerate coding, research, data enrichment and other repetitive daily tasks
• Collaborate with stakeholders by sharing progress on the tasks in a project management environment

Our Data Estate team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality, accuracy, and completeness of company data used across Moody's data products and customer workflows. We support internal stakeholders, validate and enrich global datasets, and help ensure that our data products deliver reliable insights to clients worldwide.
