Skills and Competencies
- 6-9 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, reporting, or analytics with exposure to cybersecurity or information technology operations data
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI including data modeling, DAX development, dashboard design, workspace administration, and report performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Data Factory pipelines, OneLake, semantic models, and enterprise reporting architectures
- Experience querying, extracting, and transforming data from Splunk using Search Processing Language, dashboards, and application programming interfaces
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to design data models, perform transformations, and deliver scalable reporting solutions
- Ability to translate complex cybersecurity data into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate visualizations and executive reporting
- Experience partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver reporting solutions that drive decision-making
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field
- Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or related cloud and data analytics certifications preferred
Responsibilities
Design and deliver cybersecurity reporting and analytics solutions that transform operational data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
- Design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to communicate cybersecurity metrics, trends, and operational insights
- Extract, model, and prepare data from Splunk through Search Processing Language queries, application programming interfaces, and scheduled exports for analytics and reporting
- Build and maintain data pipelines, semantic models, datasets, and reporting structures within Microsoft Fabric environments
- Collaborate with security operations, detection engineering, audit, compliance, and leadership teams to gather requirements and deliver meaningful reporting solutions
- Establish and maintain data models, DAX measures, and governance standards that ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and scalability
- Develop self-service reporting capabilities, reusable templates, and data assets that enable business users to independently explore cybersecurity data
- Monitor data quality, freshness, lineage, and performance across reporting environments while optimizing Power BI and Fabric workspaces and capacity
- Document data sources, reporting logic, visualization standards, and support ad hoc reporting requests related to audit and compliance activities
About the Team
Our Cybersecurity Data Management team is responsible for building, deploying, and operating the platforms and pipelines that collect, transform, route, and analyze event data across Moody’s environment. The team supports security detection and response, audit, and compliance programs through scalable data solutions powered by Splunk Cloud, Cribl Cloud, AWS, and modern analytics technologies.
