Skills and Competencies
- 5+ years of experience in software product management, with a track record of delivering SaaS or enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of agile software development practices and experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and written skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from end-users to executives
- Proven ability to gather and synthesize feedback from multiple sources (clients, sales, support, engineering) into clear product requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems into actionable components
- Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and release planning using tools like JIRA
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities
- Experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or cyber risk industry is preferred
- Familiarity with cyber risk quantification, modeling, or related analytics is preferred
- Background in customer-facing roles such as client services, solutions consulting, or technical account management is preferred
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Responsibilities
Drive the development, delivery, and commercial success of Moody’s cyber risk software applications by owning the end-to-end product lifecycle with a focus on user experience, workflows, and client adoption.
- Own and manage the product roadmap for Moody’s cyber risk applications, identifying product gaps and market opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning
- Translate client feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence into clear and actionable product strategy and requirements
- Partner closely with Model Development, Software Engineering, UX/Design, and QA teams to execute the product roadmap and deliver high-quality releases
- Work daily with engineering teams to drive delivery through backlog grooming, prioritization, sprint planning, and acceptance criteria definition
- Collaborate with design teams to innovate on user experience and support user research activities
- Remove obstacles and support scrum teams to maintain delivery velocity and release quality
- Build strong relationships with clients and champion the voice of the customer internally
- Engage with executives, users, prospects, partners, and industry analysts to communicate product vision, roadmap, and differentiation
- Partner with Sales, Account Management, and Marketing to support go-to-market initiatives and the sales cycle
- Gather and analyze usage data and client feedback to continuously inform product enhancements and roadmap evolution
- Represent Moody’s as a cyber product and domain expert at conferences, events, and client engagements
- Advocate for strong product management practices and continuous process improvement within the team

The Product Management team at Moody’s builds powerful software solutions that help insurers, reinsurers, and financial institutions better understand and manage complex risks. Within this group, the cyber product team operates at the forefront of a rapidly evolving market, working collaboratively to bring innovative cyber risk applications from concept through successful delivery and adoption while contributing to Moody’s broader vision for risk analytics.
