Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to analyze data sets and clearly explain findings to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to guide users in the use of application features and best practices related to access certifications
  • Ability to operate within a high-performing, motivated team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of tools such as Active Directory, Office 365, Power BI, and Power Automate; experience with Identity Management technologies and access certifications is preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use
  • Experience with SOC, SOX, and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks
  • Experience developing scripts or automated workflows (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) to streamline access certification processes
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Responsibilities
The AVP-Cybersecurity Engineer supports the Identity, Risk and Controls team in managing user access certifications, analyzing identity data, and delivering automation solutions that strengthen access controls across the organization.
  • Support and manage the user access certification process across the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
  • Analyze identity and access data to validate certification accuracy and identify potential risks or discrepancies
  • Develop and deliver automation technologies to replace manual processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with intra- and inter-team partners to ensure seamless execution of identity and access control processes
  • Provide guidance and support to users on application features and best practices related to access certifications
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of access control frameworks in alignment with SOC, SOX, and ISO 27001 standards
  • Communicate analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making
  • Lead the team and make informed decisions to support operational and risk management objectives
About the Team
The Access Certification team operates within the Identity, Risk and Controls function as part of the Cybersecurity organization at Moody’s. The team is responsible for running the enterprise-wide user access certification process and ensuring access governance practices are executed consistently and effectively. This role requires close collaboration across teams to support strong access controls, reduce risk, and safeguard the integrity of identity and access management across the organization.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $140,200 -  $230,000 depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
