Duties: Responsible for rating Structured Finance transactions. Responsible for the analysis of the credit aspects of Structured Finance securitizations including analysis of the underlying assets, transaction structure, legal documents, deal-level financial modeling using Moody's in-house models, Excel or other models and statistical packages to formulate and substantiate independent credit opinions. Monitor industry conditions and trends, present transactions to rating committees, communicate analysis during internal meetings, identify and write accurate and relevant credit research, participate in external outreach, and actively contributing to fostering Moody's Values. Complete various efficiency improvement projects, special research projects, develop in-depth knowledge of the Structured Finance sector and pursue thought leadership initiatives to enhance our analytics, outreach, and research impact.
Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field. Must have academic training or experience in each of the following: performing quantitative analysis, synthesizing large datasets to conduct econometric research and forecast consumer
credit trends; performing financial and statistical modeling; building and using analytical models and Excel-based tools for transaction structure and cash flow analysis; working with programming and analytical tools, including VBA, Python, and SQL; and applying probability theory and stochastic processes for credit risk modeling.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $118,248 - $196,750/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
