Skills and Competencies
- 4–7 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial statement analysis
- Deep understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to enforce standards and collaborate across teams
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python preferred
- Client-focused with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications (MS, MBA, CFA) are desirable
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, standardized analytic data and guidance to support Moody’s Ratings & Research teams.
- Resolve accounting and data spreading queries from Financial Data Analysts (FDAs) and outsourcing teams
- Develop and maintain spreading documentation, training, and governance processes
- Lead initiatives to standardize and optimize data spreading practices
- Collaborate with IT and Accounting Specialists to implement updates and improvements
- Design and deliver training programs; mentor junior team members
- Represent FIG KM in cross-functional forums and enterprise-wide initiatives
About the Team
The Analytic Data Operations (ADO) team within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data used in Moody’s ratings and research. The team plays a critical role in enhancing global data quality standards, supporting efficient analytic workflows, and driving continuous improvement in data governance and knowledge management across the organization.
