- 6+ years of experience in software development and enterprise systems architecture, with a proven track record of designing scalable, reliable, and secure solutions across complex, multi-platform environments
- Solid knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, with hands-on experience designing cloud-native and hybrid architectures; working knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines preferred
- Strong proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures; ability to produce architecture diagrams, technical workflows, and integration documentation using tools such as Visio, Excalidraw, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience integrating enterprise platforms including identity management, payroll providers, data warehouses, ERP systems, and SaaS applications; exposure to MuleSoft, SAP CPI/BTP, or equivalent middleware platforms is a plus
- Experience with enterprise HCM or Finance platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) in an integration or architecture capacity is beneficial, though not the primary focus of this role
- Sound understanding of secure coding practices, identity management, encryption, and compliance standards, including data privacy requirements relevant to workforce and financial data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to independently translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and guide cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools from the frontier providers to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
- Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges.
- Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible AI use.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Define, own, and deliver end-to-end enterprise system architecture, including cloud-native and hybrid integration patterns across platforms such as ERP/HCM systems, data warehouses, in-house developed modern products and third-party SaaS applications.
- Design and oversee cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS or Azure, applying microservices and API-driven design principles to ensure system interoperability, modularity, and resilience.
- Define and maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and technical workflows using tools like Visio or equivalent, ensuring documentation remains current and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate independently with product managers, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, well-designed technical solutions.
- Establish and uphold coding standards, integration best practices, and architectural guidelines, with a focus on security, data governance, and compliance requirements for sensitive enterprise data.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, performance assessments, and scalability planning discussions, providing technical guidance to engineering team members.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where applicable, including opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities into the enterprise systems architecture.
- Maintain a repository of architecture decisions, runbooks, and design artifacts to support ongoing operations, incident response, and future development efforts.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $116,500.00 - $169,000.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
