Skills and competencies

• 3–6 years of experience in a financial institution and banking with sound knowledge of Banking Risk & Controls, operational processes, and governance practices.
• Demonstrated experience in creating SOPs, policies, process maps, and operational documentation.
• Ability to effectively engage and coordinate with global stakeholders across functions.
• Understanding of Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), operational controls, and governance processes.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance or MBA

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Associate – Operational Governance & Controls is responsible for strengthening governance, operational risk management, and control effectiveness across Commercial Operations. The role partners closely with process owners, operational teams, and global stakeholders to establish governance standards, maintain documentation frameworks, execute risk programs, and oversee operational control initiatives.

• Drive Operational Governance, Risk & Control frameworks across Commercial Operations, ensuring operational rigor and compliance.
• Lead Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), identify control gaps, and manage remediation activities.
• Develop governance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to support risk-based decision-making.
• Establish and maintain operational standards, SOPs, governance documentation, and audit readiness.
• Strengthen operational controls and data governance through collaboration with process owners and key stakeholders.
• Support audits, regulatory reviews, control testing, and corrective action plan execution.
• Conduct governance reviews, control analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and mitigate emerging risks.
• Drive automation, AI/GenAI-enabled solutions, process simplification, and cross-functional governance initiatives to improve efficiency and operational excellence.

About the team

Join a dynamic team supporting the Commercial Operation Governance lead in delivering executive controls reporting and interacting with senior management. Partner with control managers, risk, and process owners to enhance the governance framework.
