Skills and Competencies

• Experience as a Senior Database Developer with proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases
• Strong proficiency & experience in SQL with expertise in query optimization, index tuning, and analyzing execution plans. Experience in optimization of complex queries and stored procedures
• Solid understanding of database design principles, including partitioning and sharing strategies
• Experience with multiple database platforms, including SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Proficiency with SQL performance analysis tools such as SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and Database Tuning Advisor. Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques for relational and non-relational databases
• Good understanding of .NET, C# and object-oriented programming, with ability to work on application-level changes that integrate with databases

Education

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required
• 6-9 years experience in related technology

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Perform SQL query optimization and index tuning to improve database performance
• Proactively analyze and interpret execution plans to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements
• Design and implement efficient database schemas, including partitioning and sharding strategies for scalability
• Collaborate with application developers to ensure optimal integration between application logic and database design
• Carry out routine database administration tasks such as backup job scheduling and monitoring
• Support and maintain databases across multiple platforms, including SQL , Oracle, PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems
• Document database structures, processes, and optimization strategies
