Skills and Competencies

  • Kubernetes and container orchestration experience with 2-5 years of hands-on work using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service including cluster security and high availability
  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services cloud services including serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda Amazon API Gateway Amazon EventBridge and AWS Step Functions along with core services including Identity and Access Management Virtual Private Cloud Simple Storage Service Relational Database Service and Amazon CloudWatch
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with at least two years using Terraform to provision and manage multi-environment cloud infrastructure
  • Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery practices using GitHub Actions GitHub workflows and Git-based development practices with GitOps experience preferred
  • Experience implementing observability solutions including monitoring logging and alerting using tools such as Amazon CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana and Elastic stack with strong production troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of security and compliance fundamentals including networking concepts secrets management secure configuration practices and risk-based controls in cloud environments
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
Design automate and operate secure cloud platforms and continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to enable reliable and scalable delivery of cloud-native applications.
  • Design deploy and manage Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service clusters including networking scaling security hardening and high availability patterns
  • Architect and implement Amazon Web Services serverless solutions using AWS Lambda Amazon API Gateway Amazon EventBridge AWS Step Functions and related managed services
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to support repeatable multi-environment deployments and governed change
  • Design implement and continuously improve continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitHub workflows including quality gates and automated approvals where appropriate
  • Implement GitOps practices for infrastructure and application delivery using tools such as Argo CD to improve auditability and deployment consistency
  • Implement monitoring logging and alerting across platforms using Amazon CloudWatch Prometheus Grafana and Elastic stack and define service level indicators and alerting standards
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues lead incident response activities perform root cause analysis and drive preventative remediation
  • Own secrets management configuration management and security compliance controls aligned to cloud best practices
  • Partner with software engineering teams to improve deployment reliability performance and overall developer experience
  • Create and maintain technical documentation runbooks and architecture diagrams and contribute to continuous improvement of operational procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotations and disaster recovery planning to ensure platform resiliency and operational readiness
About the Team
The DevOps and Platform Engineering team builds and operates shared cloud platforms that enable engineering teams to deliver software safely quickly and reliably. The team focuses on standardizing cloud infrastructure strengthening delivery automation and improving platform reliability security and operational excellence across environments and product teams.
