Skills and Competencies

• 2–3+ years of web software development experience with understanding of the full development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with Python or TypeScript and familiarity with frameworks such as FastAPI or Node.js
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL or MongoDB
• Basic understanding of microservices and/or event-driven architecture concepts, ideally in a cloud or serverless environment
• Working knowledge of software engineering best practices including clean code, readability, and maintainability
• Experience working in agile team environments with strong collaboration and communication skills
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with interest in learning how AI tools can improve development efficiency and solutions
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts or tools through academic or practical experience
• Experience working with medium to large datasets
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, or ECS

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

This role will support the development of cloud-native and AI-enabled applications while collaborating with engineering teams to build scalable full-stack solutions

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud-native and serverless applications using Python and TypeScript
• Support the implementation of full-stack solutions, including basic front-end components using modern frameworks
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to build, test, and enhance product features
• Assist in integrating data-driven and AI-enabled components into existing systems
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to improve code quality and engineering practices
• Maintain technical documentation and follow established development standards and processes
• Continuously learn and apply modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in development and production environments

About the Team

Our Digital Content & Innovations Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining Moody’s next-generation content delivery platform.
The team supports multiple engineering groups by developing scalable, highly available cloud-native solutions and contributing to broader technology transformation initiatives.
By joining the team, you will gain hands-on experience working on innovative platforms, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the adoption of data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities across Moody’s global products.
