At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities. We do this by striving to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be who they are—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.

If you are excited about this opportunity but do not meet every single requirement, please apply! You still may be a great fit for this role or other open roles. We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

Skills and Competencies

  • 5-8 years of product management experience, including independently leading an application programming interface (API), data platform, or technically complex product from discovery through launch and post-launch improvement
  • Strong knowledge of entity resolution, entity matching, reference data management, data ingestion pipelines, and extract, transform, load or extract, load, transform workflows
  • Technical fluency in search and data architecture, including OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, data normalization, embedding models, vector databases, indexing, chunking, and retrieval strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex engineering and user needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, roadmaps, and measurable priorities
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating engineering, data, design, customer success, quality control, strategy, enterprise clients, and integration partners.
  • Proficiency with agile delivery tools and practices, product metrics, structured user research, and data-driven decision-making
  • Demonstrated understanding of Generative AI technologies and their application within product development environments
  • Familiarity with large-scale batch processing, search relevance, machine-learning ranking, generative artificial intelligence, or financial and risk data platforms is preferred

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

Own and advance a scalable entity matching platform that connects ingestion, search relevance, matching accuracy, and customer integrations.

  • Independently manage the product lifecycle for Moody’s Global Match, from discovery and requirements definition through release, partner integration, and post-launch iteration, operating with moderate guidance
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap, translating broader product strategy into prioritized work based on user value, business impact, technical effort, dependencies, and risk
  • Write clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, capability summaries, integration guides, and scope documentation for technical and non-technical audience
  • Define and monitor measures of product and pipeline performance, including match accuracy, ingestion latency, application programming interface throughput, hit rate, data quality, and user adoption, and use insights to guide prioritization
  • Lead agile delivery ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to support alignment, delivery discipline, and predictable execution
  • Identify user and partner needs through structured stakeholder engagement, moderated interviews, usability testing, and solution validation
  • Serve as the product point of contact for integration partners and cross-functional teams, converting requirements into actionable product work and communicating progress, trade-offs, risks, and blockers clearly
  • Own the roadmap for the data ingestion lifecycle, including source connectors, data processing workflows, storage, indexing, data recency, completeness, and quality controls that support accurate entity matching
  • Partner with engineering to evaluate data normalization, chunking, embedding, indexing, retrieval, and search relevance approaches, and translate architectural trade-offs into product decisions
  • Collaborate with data quality and quality-control teams to manage content backlogs, establish ingestion guardrails, preserve data integrity, and improve downstream matching and large language model-ready outputs
  • Improve workflows and operating practices that reduce delivery friction, strengthen collaboration, and increase the team’s ability to deliver measurable product improvements

About the team

Our Data & Information Technology team develops and supports data products and technology capabilities that help customers and internal teams access, align, and use Moody’s information effectively. The team brings together product management, engineering, data, design, customer success, strategy, and quality expertise to improve entity resolution, strengthen data ingestion and search capabilities, and enable reliable integrations. By joining the team, you will help shape a scalable matching platform used across enterprise data and analytics workflows.
