Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to ensure accurate and timely financial calculations and reporting in a deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting purposes.
- Solid understanding of sales data processing and financial reporting principles.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with global, cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Skills and knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools is a strong advantage (Power BI, SQL)
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency, along with awareness of responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field (required).
Responsibilities
Responsible for accurate calculation, reporting, and reconciliation of royalty payments to third‑party data providers across Moody’s businesses.
- Calculate, review, and ensure timely and accurate royalty and information provider compensation reporting in line with contractual terms and control policies.
- Prepare and review external and internal financial reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand changes in financial conditions, policies, contracts or procedures impacting royalty processes.
- Review and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits as well as the internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Identify, research, and resolve operational issues through regular and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
- Provide detailed reporting, insights, and reviews to the line manager and senior stakeholders as required.
- Support the execution of ad‑hoc requests and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on standardization, efficiency, and data quality.
About the Team
The Royalties Team, part of Finance Operations, is responsible for the end‑to‑end operational management of Information Providers’ compensation across Moody’s businesses. The team ensures accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of royalty and information provider invoices in line with contractual terms, internal controls, and accounting principles. By acting as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders and external data providers, the team plays a key role in supporting transparency, compliance, and consistency in managing licensed data costs across the organization.

Annual base salary gross: €42,100.00 to €67,500.00. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
