- 2+ years of professional software development experience working on multi-tiered enterprise applications
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and services (MS Azure, AWS)
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design and programming, desktop, and web application development
- Strong knowledge and experience in Azure architecture and services, Azure Resource Management APIs, Azure networking, storage, security, and serverless technologies
- Strong knowledge and experience in AWS architecture and services such as EC2/CloudFormation, networking, storage (S3), and security
- Experience in programming languages including C#, Visual Basic .NET, and Python; C++ is an asset
- Experience in JavaScript, JSON, HTML, and XML
- Experience in web development technologies including REST, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET, and Web API
- Strong knowledge and experience in MS SQL Server (programming, administration, and tuning), Azure SQL, AWS RDS, and embedded database engines such as MS Jet, SQLite, and DuckDB
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems including architecture, APIs, security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field from a top institution; Master’s degree is a plus
- Participate in the design and implementation of new features in cloud-based products and improve existing features as required
- Provide input into technical design, cloud infrastructure requirements, optimization approaches, stability improvements, and scalability enhancements
- Provide feedback on requirements from a technical perspective and provide estimates for projects and tasks
- Collaborate with quality assurance engineers to identify and resolve defects
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy applications and solve environment-related issues
- Investigate and determine the root cause of software and service problems reported by clients and provide solutions, fixes, and improvements
- Comply with coding standards and SDLC requirements
- Maintain technical documentation
- Review code submitted by other team members
For Canada-based roles only: The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $89,200.00- $129,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, vacation, a retirement savings plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
