- 1 to 3 years of experience in an accounting, tax, or auditing environment
- Good accounting knowledge of Mexican GAAP and IFRS
- Experience working with financial computer applications and accounting systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, or similar
- Fluent in Spanish and English, both verbal and written
- Ability to deliver high-quality work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Adaptability and willingness to take on new projects and challenges
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of accounting processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Taxes, T&E, Treasury, Audit, and financial close activities
- Understanding of internal controls, risks, and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related discipline
- Process accounting transactions and prepare journal entries
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations
- Support all aspects of accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Taxes, T&E, Treasury, Audit, and financial close processes
- Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies and procedures
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Develop a strong understanding of the business and maintain effective working relationships with supporting teams
- Identify and monitor key controls, risks, and compensating controls within assigned process areas
- Recognize and communicate changes in operating and internal control environments
- Support team strategy, goals, and objectives through effective execution of responsibilities
