Skills and Competencies
- 1–3 years of work experience in an analytical role, such as compensation professional, financial analyst, or actuarial position
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills, required to interpret data, develop insights, and present findings to stakeholders
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality, required to handle sensitive compensation data and support People team operations
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of salary surveys such as McLagan and Radford preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required to support analysis, reporting, and presentations
- Familiarity with the SuccessFactors human resources information system platform preferred
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
Responsibilities
This role leads the development and administration of the company's total compensation programs, including base salary, short and long-term incentive compensation, job evaluations, and data analysis to support a globally consistent and competitive pay strategy.
- Manage corporate-wide compensation initiatives including the Global Annual Compensation Review cycle, ensuring accuracy and timely execution from start to finish
- Participate in and analyze industry survey data to assess the competitiveness of total compensation programs and develop reports to share insights with line managers
- Work with Compensation and People teams to gather anecdotal data where survey data is limited, and assist with interpreting and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders
- Partner with People Talent Partners on compensation matters including job evaluations and providing recommendations for various compensation actions
- Collaborate with People Talent Partners and Talent Acquisition on proposed salary adjustments to ensure alignment with established guidelines, policies, and practices
- Review and approve ad hoc increases and one-time payments in the human resources information system and provide administrative support for salary planning and annual bonus processes, including overseeing those processes through to completion
- Partner with Digital People Solutions team members to import foundational data such as salary structures and job codes, and perform monthly data audits to ensure accuracy, resolving identified issues in collaboration with the People Connect team
- Conduct sophisticated analyses for a broad range of ad hoc compensation projects and collaborate with People, Finance, Legal, and Tax colleagues as needed to support cross-functional initiatives
