Skills and Competencies
- 8–12+ years of experience designing mobile and web interfaces, with strong expertise in interaction and visual design, as well as the production and presentation of user interfaces that support customer needs
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership and customers
- Ability to communicate abstract UX concepts to audiences that are not skilled in a UX discipline
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Figma Make, Lobable, Replit, V.0, and Cursor, along with experience using Dovetail, Jira, and Miro
- Experience with user-centered design patterns and methodologies, combined with hands-on experience working with Material UI
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and frontend frameworks such as React.js, Next.js, or Angular
- Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team; comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and passionate about challenges; previous experience in a financial environment preferred
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
Education
- Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or similar required
Responsibilities
The Product Designer is a highly skilled practitioner responsible for the design and delivery of exceptional end-user experiences. They work in a collaborative fashion within a multidisciplinary environment and employs a user-centered design methodology by representing customer needs throughout the full product development cycle – often on multiple, concurrent design initiatives. They work closely with user experience team members, product strategists, and stakeholders to understand business goals and translate those goals into compelling interactive experiences – and works with developers to bring those experiences to life for customers.They contribute to the overall look and feel of interactive user interfaces across multiple products and platforms.
- Lead the interaction design of user interfaces across multiple products and platforms, simplifying and unifying complex information into intuitive interactions, flows, charts, graphs, and other visual representations
- Employ user-centered design methods to develop user interface specifications, including use cases, site maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and final documentation
- Help advance the established design system and pattern library by promoting consistency, accessibility, and modern design across products, and participate in defining user-centered design methodology
- Design and prototype GenAI-powered features such as natural language queries, smart summaries, embedded assistants, and predictive UI patterns
- Contribute to the creation of prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously iterate based on feedbackCreate detailed specifications of interactions and visual designs to effectively communicate with product managers and engineers
- Perform quality assurance reviews of developed pages to ensure adherence to design and interaction specifications
